I love telling people the story of how I got started in this rewarding industry: I grew up as a classically trained dancer spending most of my upbringing on stage performing with the professional company, Ohio Dance Theatre. Through performing, I realized at a young age I was fascinated by all things beauty!! I couldn't wait for the performances and the freedom of applying stage makeup. I knew this was a passion of mine from a young age.
After relocating from Las Vegas to Tampa in 2011, I decided to pursue my passion of make-up artistry. For my wedding, I applied my own, all of my bridesmaids, and my mother's make-up. After friends and family saw how flawless and natural our make-up turned out in our wedding photos, I received so many requests to do special event make-up that it went from being a hobby to a job that I love. I trained formally at the QC Makeup Academy and received my Certified International Makeup Artist Certification. I've worked as a freelance make-up artist for the renowned Giorgio Armani Beauty traveling all over Florida. I have also attended multiple masterclasses from celebrity makeup artists in NYC and Miami!! In 2022 my business was featured in Voyage Tampa. I chose the name Beyond Blush because I believe make-up goes beyond simply making people look good by enhancing their natural beauty and making them feel like stunning, glamorous versions of themselves. I have the passion, ability, and tools to take your everyday look beyond ordinary into the extraordinary. I can't wait to work with you! ~Emily
